"Black and white is abstract; colour is not. Looking at a black and white photograph, you are already looking at a strange world."
- Joel Sternfeld
One way to work with colour, is to remove the colour.
Having worked with colours, and a lot of symbolic meanings of said colours, for quite some time I found a need to explore grayscale // black & white. This way, I discovered that I was able to create a deeper contrast between light and dark, something that brought a lot of weight into the composition. The darker fields and the white ones had to be carefully balanced, a job I found great satisfaction in.
